The LTZ's on the impala platform came with a larger 3.9L engine and dual exhaust. So your LS is a base model and the LT is kinda middle of the road. Durability really depends on the engine in the car and the drivetrain. however there is something to be said for the theory that more toys mean more things to go wrong.
Z71 is a package that is available exclusively on the LT and LTZ trims, and it delivers features that make the truck fully capable of handling off-road situations with ease. So what does the Z71 package give you?
Z71 is an RPO (Regular Production Option) code for GM off road package. As far as I can remember, it was first offered on the 1987 GM trucks. Among other things it consisted of off-road tires, an automatically locking rear differential, skid plates, and Z71 badges.
on a 2017 silverado LD LTZ what does the LD stand for? - I looked up my truck by vin number and it listed as a 2017 Silverado LD LTZ.
idk what's the difference between the 2? is is the motor? i have a 1999 Chevy Z71 and the small badge next to the door says LS on it. but the headers i'm lookin at buyin online say they are for an LT in the same model. does this mean that they wouldn't fit my truck? sorry if this is a dumb question i just am confused
